Herb Day 2015 Rio Hondo Plant Walk - May 2

Join me and a small group of folks as we celebrate Herb Day 2015 by identifying CA native and non-native plants on our walk along Rio Hondo on a section of the Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail.

We'll go over historical healing and food uses with a focus on the ecosystem in which these plants thrive.

Walkers will learn how to observe natural growing habits to then incorporate into a resilient home and/or community garden design.

This walk is a three mile round trip. After 1.5 miles we will have an opportunity to rest and sip on some herbal beverages while having a quick Q&A before heading back. A detailed email with step by step directions to the parking lot will be sent two days in advance along with a view of the trail we will be taking.
